January 1996. One of the first photographs Joachim took when he arrived in New York City. From the Hors Piste series — the photographs that follow instinct rather than intention. The title is an instruction and an invitation. Joachim found this image the way he finds all the best ones — by not looking for it.
Shot on 35mm Kodak Tri-X film with a Pentax K1000. One camera, one lens, thirty-six frames per roll.
Printed on Baryta paper — a museum-quality archival paper that honours the tradition of darkroom printing. Print size 17 × 17 in with a 1 to 1.5 inch margin. Unframed.
